British Medical Journal Critical of
Animal Experiments
A recent British Medical Journal article asked, “Where is
the evidence that animal research benefits humans?” The authors
examined systematic reviews of six areas of animal research and
presented evidence that it had not informed human clinical research.
Animal studies were also found wanting in their methods, with omissions
in randomization of samples and failure to prevent observer bias.
